Odysseus and his men sail through the land of Cyclops after making a meal from goats off the shore of another island.
They arrive at a cave and discover that there are sheep, crates of milk and cheese, and figured they could happily steal some.
Odysseus and his men decide to linger around instead, but will soon regret this decision.
The Cyclops returned to his cave and found the men then ate two of them already, and locked the rest of them in the cave as food for later.
Odysseus and his men stab Polyphemus and take the sheep along with them, the other Cyclops come over but leave because of Odysseus's "Nobody" name trick.
Odysseus comes up with a plan to gift Polyphemus with wine hoping that they would receive a gift in return as well, but his "gift" was to be eaten last.
The men made it out quietly but that's ruined by Odysseus shouting back at the cyclops and getting "cursed" in a way.
"My name is Odysseus son of Laertes of Ithaca."
