  • in this segment of the comic it illustrates a capitalistic society in the sense that private businesses owned by entrepreneurs and are free to compete. Whether that be constantly trading in the stock market, working graveyard shift at a business, or even spending hard earned cash in a night out the capitalist city never sleeps.
  • Profit Motive
  • I'm rich!!
  • If economic freedom exists, everyone from producer to consumer has the freedom to enter into or leave the market. Producers can decide what to produce, how to produce, and for whom to produce. They may also decide where to set up their businesses, hours of operation, and who to hire.
  • Private Property
  • Voluntary trade is the mechanism that drives activity in a capitalist system. The owners of resources compete with one another over consumers, who in turn, compete with other consumers over goods and services.
  • Competition
  • They have so many more options here
  • The profit motive exists because individuals and corporations have a private interest in a company. Private investors own most American enterprises. Individuals are free to risk their money and efforts by starting a business.
  • Private property promotes efficiency by giving the owner of resources an incentive to maximize its value. The more valuable a resource, the more trading power it provides the owner of the resource.
  • Competition refers to a situation in a market in which firms or sellers independently strive for the patronage of buyers in order to achieve a particular business objective,
