Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu, known as Mother Teresa of Calcutta, was born in Skopje, Macedonia, on August 26, 1910
She was educated in a public school in present-day Croatia. She entered the Marian Congregation on September 29, 1928, entered the House of the Sisters of Notre Dame of Loreto, in Dublin, Ireland.
