Mexico to Central America began creating civilizations. It began in 1800 B.C.
Mayan Government and Leadership
Mayan Religion was polytheistic. Each day they believed in a different god that would predict behavior. They worshipped by praying, offering, blood-letting, and human sacrifice.
Achievements
On the top of the social class was the God-king. It then came to Priests and warriors. Then followed the merchants and artisans. The last people on the social class were peasants who made up the majority of people.
Decline of the Mayan Empire
The Mayan Government was a Hierarchy. Their currency was cacao beans.
The Mayans had advanced writing and written language. They used glyphs on a codex, paper book. They also had a Calander for a religious factor. The Calander was extremely accurate.
Own Language
The decline was a mystery but it had predictions on what could've happend. It had abandoned cities which is said to be caused by warfare, trade disrupted, and over-farming.
