After the above, the Mexican government was concerned. They sent Manual de Meir y Teran to investigate Texas, where he finds Anglo culture is abundant. He reported this, which led to the law of April 26th.
Turtle Bayou
All of those laws were created on April Sixth. The colonists absolutely hated them.
SFA arrest
The Mexican government is actually bad! I'm gonna go back to Texas and support them.
They didn't want to pay insane taxes, so they fought back. After two people got arrested, they fought even harder.

The colonists wanted more than scissors, so while they waited, they came up with the Turtle Bayou Resolution. They liked federalism, so they supported Santa Anna, who they thought was a federalist. They wanted SFA to deliver a list of changes needed in Texas to him.
Hey Mr. Austin do you wanna deliver our message to Santa Anna?
Sure, why not?
Santa Anna wasn't there when SFA showed up. SFA got fed up with waiting and sent a letter to the colonists saying Mexicans were crazy. So when he comes back, he removes the immigration law. At the above, he decided to go back to Texas but instead was arrested for writing the letter.
Oh no.
