He is a sailor who lives in Hawai#160; and decided to travel around the world, he goes first to San Francisco

This imp would grant him any wish, except lengthen his life. But owning the bottle has its consequences: if the owner of the bottle dies without having sold it first, it will burn in the flames of hell.
Having seen his dream come true, Keawe sells the bottle to Lopaka, a friend, and lives happily in what he calls the shining house. He meets a beautiful woman, named Kokua, and proposes to her.
Keawe gets sick with Chinese disease, better known as leprosy, and for that reason he should give up, not only Kokua, but also the house to go live in a leper colony. Assuming this, he decides to buy her, since with such a woman it was worth going to hell.
