Wilson and Joey are too young to stay with their older brother Thomas. They are split up and the two younger boys are very upset. Thomas tries to stay calm for his brothers.
The Cold Shower

Wilson refuses to eat and begins to starve himself. He is unable to keep anything in his stomach.

At home, Wilson and Joey always slept in the same bed and they had grown used to it. So when they were told they couldn't sleep together at Kuper, they found a way to get around the rules.

Wilson was forced into a cold shower to clean up after wetting the bed the night before.
Wilson had grown so ill that he was taken to see doctor Douglas. The doctor accused Father Maynard of starving his students and told him he was going to report the school.
To save his reputation, Father Maynard sent Wilson home to be taken care of by his mother. He was not allowed to return to the school until he was healthy again.
