Stephen F. Austin is in a Mexican prison and Santa Anna demands that we pay tax on u.s. goods. We want to declare independence.
Why are you so angry?
On October 2,1835 Mexico came to Gonzales with a cannon. The people of Gonzales placed a white flag saying "come and take it." The battle lasted a few minutes and Texas won.
"Come and take it." "We dare you."
On October 9, Texas attacked a Mexican fort. The Texans won.
Ha ha we won 🤣. I am so motivated.
"We have either to fight for our homes or fly and leave them."
