- Inversion1. Grandma gets the package and leaves to Riding Hood's house. 2. Begins to walk on the trail to Riding Hood's house then encounters a wolf.3. Wolf beats Grandma to Riding Hood's house and eats Riding Hood. 4. When grandma enters and gets too close, the Wolf eats her whole.5. Hunter passing by hears commotion and kills the wolf and saves them both.
- This is the inversion version of Little Red Riding Hood. Inversion is when a segment of DNA that breaks off flips 180 degrees, and reattaches, reversing the DNA order in a chromosome. This references the story because by using inversion, we switch the roles of Grandma and Riding Hood. The final product was affected by the mutation by doing nothing to the actual ending, but changing the roles of Grandma and Riding Hood. This mutation could or couldn't spread due to the fact that nothing big in the plot changes and that the characters are still able to pass on the trait. This mutation is neutral to the story because in the end, Grandma and Riding Hood are still safe and Grandma delivers the goods.

- Insertion1. Riding Hood gets the package and she and her cat leave for Grandma's house. 2. Begins to walk on the trail to Grandma's house then encounters a wolf.3. Wolf beats Riding Hood and her cat to Grandma's house and eats Grandma whole. 4. When Riding Hood and her cat enters and gets too close, the Wolf eats both of them whole.5. Hunter passing by hears commotion and kills the wolf and saves them all.
- This is the insertion version of Little Red Riding Hood. Insertion is when a segment of DNA from one chromosome is added to another, unrelated chromosome. The directions now show that Riding Hood has a new companion, her cat. The final product was not affected and the only thing that was added was her cat. In the end everyone gets saved by the hunter. This mutation could or couldn't spread because it doesn't play a very important role in the story. This mutation is neutral to the story because adding the cat doesn't affect the final outcome of everyone being saved.
