· The turn happens in line 13. In the beginning the writer exhibited high emotions of fear of dying before their time. Seemingly they were fearful of having passed away before showcasing their creativity, having written many books to display this notion. Before the turn,showing signs of dreading the inevitable fate. After the turn however, they seem to be more accepting of this fate. The writer comes to an acceptance that death is inevitable and inescapable as well as unpredictable as they show this by saying the line “Of the wide world I stand alone, and think, till love and fame to nothingness do sink.”. This exhibiting how they were accepting into this fate having been ready to die at any time before or after fame.

· The poetic device used in the sonnet, “When I have fears” is imagery. By doing this the author gives paints a picture or the audience to understand where they are coming from through the creativity in their language. They do so by using detailed and descriptive wordplay such as “night starred face” and “wide world”. This play on words shows and reveals the writer’s emotions and ideas towards the theme of not wanting to die early, and end creativity. By painting this picture with the word play presented Keat openly shows the reader of they feel towards the topic. Fearful of ceasing to exist before their time.
