Believe it or not, I was a major in psychology when I was in college. I know that a thing like cognitive bias can lead to distortions in memory, such as relying on easily accessible information.

Yeah, though things like that weren't taught as much or even, like, source misattribution. That is confusing the source of a memory, such as misremembering whether an event happened to you or someone else

That's amazing you learned that stuff during that time, especially since many people, I think, didn't care about that.
Hah I also thought so until the internet became a thing we were learning things, like how certain questions that are suggestive can make influences on your memories and make false statements in situations.
