- During experiment; Punishment to the dog is done by putting the dog in a crate and the scolding him. This is so that he knows that barking at the doorbell is wrong and shouldn’t be done. The owner will do this every time the doorbell rings and the dog starts barking.

- After experiment; Target behavior is achieved, and the dog is rewarded.The dog did not bark when the doorbell rang. The dog now knows that the doorbell means a person is at the house, but he shouldn’t bark when it rings.
