Yes why not. But as you know you teacher is absent today and I am a substitute. I will have to look on the To Do list.

Your subject teacher left this chart for the students. It says the homework for today and the past days of the week. You may have a look.
Melissa asks her teacher Mr. James about the previous day's assignment since she was absent.
Also, do I still get late points for these assignments.
I don't think so. But I will have to make sure from your teacher.
Mr. James is a substitute so he says he can't tell right away until he looks at the tasks assigned by the subject teacher.
I now know the assignments for yesterday. I will email the teacher once I submit.
Mr. James refers to the To-Do Chart left by the subject teacher to help Melissa out with her assignments. Melissa notes down the assignments she has to complete.
