Today, Cole is going on vacation to New york From a long school year of Hardwork. Right Now he is waiting at his correct terminal to head to New York...
When in the process of descending the plane, the pilot tilted the plane at a 35° angle. He needed to know how high he was from the ground to land the plane. So to solve how high the plane was he used 20,000(cos)(35) (20,000 representing how far he was from the airstrip) Once he solved he knew that he was 16,383.01 ft from the ground
While snorkeling, cole wanted to find how far the coral was from him looking at it from a 30° angle. He knew he was swimming at a depth of 50ft so he did sin(30)=50/x. Once he solved that he knew that the coral reef was 100 feet away from him.
After Cole went snorkeling he was eager to see the Statue of liberty. So he took a boat there.
Once cole arrived at the Statue of liberty, he was fascinated by it. He wanted to find out what angle he was looking at it from, so knowing that the statue of liberty is 305ft and he's 200 ft away, he did Tan(x)=305. After solving he found out that he was looking at it from a 56.75° angle.
