- American tennis player Andre Agassi was born in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1970. Once ranked number one in the world, Agassi has won eight major championships, and a gold medal in the 1996 Olympic Games. He has been married to former tennis champion Steffi Graf since 2001.
- The capital of Nevada is Carson City. Some of the other major cities in Nevada include Las Vegas, Reno, and Henderson.
