Hey kid, you're getting to the age where you wanna try new things. i need to talk to you about cancer prevention first.
okay, i'm ready to listen dad!
Although cancer is not entirely preventable; you can still take precautions.
Cancer causes the second most deaths in the world, but the chances of getting cancer can be decreased by staying active.
If you do happen to get cancer still, either from genetics or other causes; staying active can help strengthen you immune system, which in the long run will help your body fight off this mutation.
sometimes you might be tempted to try smoking,, but if you want to significantly decrease your chance of getting cancer you shouldn't. Chemicals in tobacco can damage you DNA and makes it a lot harder for your cells to repair it.
when you're outside, it is important that you remember to put on sunscreen, so you can protect your skin from cancer-causing UV rays. UV rays that are found in the sun can damage you DNA
you should make sure to have a healthy diet, that doesn't consist of too much animal fats. otherwise, you are increasing your chances of getting cancer
Gosh, I guess there really was lot i didn't know about cancer. I'm scared, theirs so many things i have to do to decrease my risks of getting cancer
Thank you for this, dad. I will make sure to keep educated on cancer risks and prevent these causes.
i know honey, but there are also many treatment options to help fight back with cancer.
