Battle of Lexington and Concord
On March 5, 1770, a fight began because a crowd of people were insulting and throwing snowballs at the British soldiers and they shot at the colonists.
Battle of Bunker Hill
Britain sold tea fore years to America for years. they would smuggle tea so the colonists can pay for there taxes. So on Dec 16, 1773 the colonists decided to board the ships and illegally and throw tea into the Boston Harbor dressed as Indians saying [ No taxation without representation.]
Declaring of Independence
The battle of Lexington and Concord was on June 17, 1775. It is said that they called it[ The shot heard around the world] because when the British soldiers were about to leave there was a shot that no one knows who did it. The patriots won the fight.
On June 16, 1775, the battle of Bunker Hill was fought. It was actually fought on Breeds Hill. On that day William Prescot said, "Don't fire until you see the wight of there eyes". The British won but it proved the patriots could fight.
After the battles of 1775, American colonies and Britain were in war, but some colonists thought it wasn't fair as King Jorge the III was their leader, they did not want to fight the British. Others wanted independence. Patrik Hanry, a Patriot from Virginia, said, "Give me liberty or give me death".
