In our story Guts by Raina Telgemeier our main characters are Raina, Jane (Raina's best friend) and Lauren (Raina's therapist).
so raina what been going on at school lately?
well...its not going good at all !
Raina woke up one night and immediately knew something was wrong! Shes never felt anything like this before. Raina suffers from anxiety about bodily functions and rarely ever gets sick.
OH NO PLEASE DONT MOVE IM BEGGING YOU !
Raina im sorry but I'm moving houses soon.
The next day Raina realized she had a big presentation with her best friend Jane. Raina is TERRIFIED of public speaking! She knew something was going on, so she rushed to the restroom...
TODAY WAS AMAZING !
Later that week Raina had her very first therapy appointment with Lauren, Raina wasn't very experienced with talking to people about her feelings, so she struggled to talk about everything that's going on at home and at school.
As soon as Raina got back from her therapy appointment, she saw Jane crying on her bed and Jane broke some horrible news to Raina...
After a few therapy appointments later and some time to heal from Jane moving she stared to feel better about herself mentally and physically!
