- The death of Wilder Penfield took place on April 5, 1976 in Montreal after battling abdominal cancer. His discoveries still has a huge impact on neuroscience till this day. His methods and techniques are still continued by surgeons from all around the world. He was an inspiration to all surgeons and researchers.
