Hi Mom! Guess what I learned about today in science today!
I love science! What did you learn about?
We learned about the endocrine system! It was super interesting but I am kinda confused. I was wondering if you could explain to me more what the endocrine system is! I know a little about the endocrine glands and how it has the hormones releases. As well as the cells would not know when to do important things. But can you explain more to me what it is.

For instance, your bones wouldn't get the message that it's time for you to grow and get bigger without the endocrine system. You have a variety of endocrine glands in different sizes and shapes located in different parts of the body. The pituitary gland, is the "master gland" of the endocrine system. It makes and releases a bunch of hormones that control other glands and body functions. The pituitary, which is located in your brain helps you grow big by producing growth hormones.
