Most of the speakeasies around required a password to have the door opened for you. The locations were found in specific places. When you walked inside, it was filled with many people who just wanted a drink!
The password for entry is "Bottom's Up" and you can find it at...
Bottom's Up!
I finally found it! Now time for the password.
The places a speakeasy would be found is somewhere you wouldn't expect. It was basements, attics, cellars, etc.!
Oh no, SCRAM it's the fuzz!
I've never been happier!
The "fuzz" was slang they used for police back in the day. You could be there enjoying your drinks until the police came and you had to "SCRAM". It made everything more fun.
Prohibition really put up challenges for citizens who loved a drink. Even though it was illegal to have alcohol, people invented these places called speakeasies to get some. It really shows how dependent people can be with something such as it. Prohibition was intended to help keep everywhere safe from the drunk affects of alcohol, but it lead to more problems. It lead to illegal sale of alcohol, less money made off taxes, and even smuggling! We need to use prohibition as a way to make better choices, even if the era did not go well. We can use it as a symbol and understand the effects of doing something, which in this case was drinking alcohol, and be more wise with the choices we make.
