Hello my name is Jim and I'm from the planet Baba Ganoush.
They are because there were numerous times that they would start doubting God and if he was still real. They were complaining about not having food or anything to drink.
Yes, I do. Complaining and doubting are both themes in Exodus.
I would like to learn about the book of the bible called Exodus. Do you know 2 themes from it?
Great. How do those themes connect to the rest of the old Testament?
Complaining is a connecting theme to the old testament because they would complain to God about being extremely thirsty. They would also complain to God about being very hungry, and beg for food to eat. Doubting is a theme in the old testament because they would always lose their faith in God and start to doubt whether they would ever find the promised land.
That's cool. How do those themes point to Jesus and his salvation?
These connect to him because Jesus never complained or doubted anything and these themes are a good reminder of that and how we should not do them and be more like christ.
Great point. For my final question, How can we accurately apply these themes to our lives today?
Instead of applying these to our lives we should not apply these to our lives. We shouldn’t because we should not be complaining to God about everything that doesn’t go our way or that we don’t like. We also should not be doubting God when something bad happens or something that doesn’t look like it will be good or that we are good at.
I have never thought of it like that and that's a great point.
Bye.
It was great talking to you and having you answer my questions. See ya.
