I'm sorry. I did try to be here on time, but my boss kept me five minutes longer than expected.
Five minutes? Then why are you almost forty minutes late? Do you have an explanation for that?
I do have an explanation: you are wrong! It's just six minutes past 7:30.

What do you mean I'm wrong? We said we would meet at 7:00.
We did agree on 7:30 at first, but I sent you a message about six hours ago asking to change the time. You just never pay attention to me.
I do pay attention to you, but I was at work. I didn't get a chance to check my phone. It was just a really busy shift.
