Delphi and her mother have just moved from another country to escape the war. Delphi's father had been killed by infuenza while fighting in the war.
Hi!
Delphi, you're mother is very sick, but I will probably be able to cure her.
Hi! I'm Allison. The doctor is my father.
Delphi, I know that you can see the past exactly how it happened. I need you to change the past and bring my mother back. She was a nurse and died of influenza.
But I can't change the past! I can only catch glimpes of it and I can't control what I see. I'll try, though.
Because she promished to try, Delphi pointed on the day Allison's mother died and tried to concentrate on what had happened. And it worked.
AUGUST
NURSE ELEANOR HAS JUST DIED I REPEAT, NURSE ELEANOR HAS JUST DIEDNOW GET BACK TO WORK, YOU LAZY, USELESS PEOPLE.

We would never have been able to save her. But I still feel guilty.
Why do we have to move again, mom?
The war is getting closer. It is too dangerous to stay.
A few days after Allison and Delphi returned from the past . .
In the new country, Delphi got to go to school, and her mother opened a restaurant.
Many Years Later And so Delphi grew up to be one of the most celebrated artists of the century.
