- man kind is its own worst enemy. for example, once less Goodman was a cussed of being an alien for his car turning on by itself,the whole neighborhood started to turn on him out of pure suspicion. this shows how easily man kind will turn on each other. 2ndly when Charlie accidentally shot Pete van horn for thinking he was the alien every one turned on him saying that he killed Pete so that he could silence him from saying any evidence he could have possibly found in the other neiborhood. this shows how easily people can fabricate lies to prevent themselves from being accused or rid of suspicion by finding a scapegoat. finaly once the neighborhood finaly catches up to Charlie the houses power starts turning off and on over and over again it causes the people to go crazy and grab weapons to fight and kill. this shows how when human suspicion and fear builds up enough it explodes and puts everyone and thing into chaos. in conclusion these things show that man kind is its own worst enemy.
