- The outbreak of the cold war was a war between the United States and Soviet Union. This war began in 1945 because the US was a democratic government and Soviet Union had a communism government. That is the reason that the US got involved to prevent the spread of communism.
- War of Terror
- Americans spy planes discovered Cuba was holding Nuclear weapons for the Soviet Union. The US got involved to stop the placement of nuclear missiles.

- Getting Cuban exiles to help overturn CUBA'S horrible government
- Castro's government
- The Iranian government was mad that Shan was admitted into the united states for medical treatment. The government sent an angry mob kidnaped the U.S. for over a year. The reason for the US to get involved was for Iranian protesters had seized staff of us embassy in Tehran.
