Daisy Invites Nick and Gatsby to lunch with her, Tom, and Jordan. Nick and Gatsby accept and they meet at Daisy's house.
"Who wants to go to town?"
After getting bored, Daisy asks the group if they want to go into town.
Gatsby and Daisy's eyes meet, and Daisy "confesses" her love to Gatsby.
You always look so cool.
Tom notices this and his mouth opens with astonishment.
Just as Daisy was about to continue, she gets interupted by Tom
Daisy argues with Tom, but shortly after, they all end up getting ready to leave.
All right - Come on. We're all going to town
After leaving the house, Tom insists that he should drive Gatsby's car, and that Gatsby take his. Gatsby doesn't like this idea and tries to come up with an excuse, which doesn't work.
Well, you take my coupé and let me drive your car to town
I don't think there's much gas
Gatsby ends up agreeing, and they leave. Tom, Nick, and Jordan are driving Gatsby's car, and Gatsby and Daisy are driving Tom's coupe. They end up racing to town.
They end up stopping for gas at George's garage. George says that he plans to move with his wife to the West, and "she's going wether she wants to or not". While leaving, Nick sees Myrtle in one of the windows looking down at "Tom's car". The drive to town and get a suite at the Plaza Hotel.
