God creating humankind ''in his image'' signifies the purpose of humans to represent God on earth, he deliberately created us with moral awareness and the ability to care for the world as he cares for us. God stating his creation on the sixth day was ''very good'' implies humans are the pinnacle of his creation, highlighting our value to God.
