One of the main themes in "The Monsters are Due in Maple Street" by Red Serling is "Jumping to conclusions leads to chaos."In the text there is a beam of light and a roar that pops us in the sky and the power when out in all of maple street , when a man, les goodman’s car started up without him touching it a man,Charlie started accusing him for all the weird stuff happening. When the power went out people tired to turn on their cars and Les good mans car was the only one to turn on and that made Charlie suspicious and started to question him. More peoples belongings started acting up and the people from maple street all started to interview anyone who's belongings started to act up. After peoples belongings started going on and off the people had started to turn on one another and attack each other starting with a boy and his mom then to Charlie and to all of maple street. To sum up everything that has been stated in this text this all proves that jumping to conclusions causes chaos.
