Romulus and Remus were twin brothers. Their father was Mars, the God of War, their mother was Rhea Silvia.
Amulius wanted the throne for himself so when finding out that the twins were born he was furious and had seized them. He had thrown them in a basket and had them put into the Tiber river.
Lucky a she-wolf had saved and raised the babies with her own milk

Soon later a shepherd and his wife had found the boys and raised them, sooner or later they found out that they were royal blood and had gotten revenge on their evil uncle.
After growing into young adults the boys wanted to build a city, the only problem was that they could not agree where to build it. Remus favored Aventine Hill but Romulus wanted to build on the Palatine Hill. After not being able to agree on one, they built on their own. Remus decided to make fun of his wall by jumping over it. Romulus was furious and killed him.
After killing his Brother Remus, Romulus became king, he named his city Rome, not after his brother, but after himself.
