- The Happy times before the crash
- God I love you Thomas. I don't know what I would do if you left
- Happy Birthday david I set up your savings account like you wanted plus a large sum in the stock market thanks to a margin
- Thats great dad! I hope that these happy days never ends
- THomas loses his job.
- Oh god Dad. You lost your job? how are you gonna support the family
- I got fired from My managing job job. I don't think that I can support you guys anymore. I am such a failure and I am sorry .
- Thomas makes his choice
- NOOOOO! Honey please don't go!!!
- Dad we can work it out
- Im sorry but I am a failure and you will be better off with out me
- David and His family sitting around at the table enjoying Davids birthday. Davids father Thomas talks about his sucuss in opening up a bank account for David who has been saing his allowance for years along side helping out at his dads job making a good sum of money that his dad puts in the bank in Davids name
- Trying for a job

- Thomas has lost his job and confesses how he feels like a failure and that he is sorry that he can no longer help his family.
- Parting with the apartment
- NOOOOOOOO. Sir please this is all I have left. I am gonna have to go live in a hooverville. This is the last thing I have. My dad left and my mom killed herself soon after he left from not having him. How can my life get anyworse.
- Thomas leaves his family as he feels that he has failed his family and that they can do better without him. He can no longer support them so he leaves so that she can find a better man who can support them.
- In a hooverville
- TIme to live a new life in Hooverville. I miss my old life with mom and dad. I hate this depression
- David trys to get a job even though he is not old enough to cover his expenses. He talks with the other men about the very low unemployemtn rates of the time
- I need this Job. I hear 25% of america is unemployed. I have to support mom and myself
- Davids home is taken form him as so mahy other familes experienced. His dad left and his mom killed hersle fbecause the dad walked out on them. David has nothing left as all so he is leaving to go to live in a hoovervillle.
- Sorry kid but if you can't pay for your house you have to leave
- David adjusts to life in hooverville living in a small tent sharing a fire with other men
