- I was so excited to try doing my laundry but I hadn't expected that there wouldn't be enough power generating by the solar panels.
- Actually it can be solve easily. My brother has solar panels too, he says that he is able to plan his energy consumption a week in advance using solar app on his iPhone. It is linked to the weather app and recommends him a day to carry out high-consumption activities, such as doing laundry.
- Olivia Willow, 34, had recently installed solar panels in her home in order to reduce her electricity bills. However, she now is unsure of when she is able to wash her laundry using her washing machine as it uses a lot of electricity, now that she’s depending on solar panels for electricity.

- Olivia fills the laundry machine with her dirty laundry and starts it up, only for it to slow down and come to a stop halfway through. She reconnects her laundry machine to the main power source from the grid to continue with thewash cycle, but she is disappointed that she was unable to plan ahead and avoid this. As her laundry cycle continues, Mary goes outside her house and starts chatting with her neighbour, Andy.

- The app says that since Thursday is expected to be the sunniest day of the week, I should carry out my high-consumption activities on that day as there will be the most electricity coming form my solar panels.
- SCENE 6
- Olivia downloads the solar app on her phone and begins to browse through the features.
- The following week, Olivia has already set the app up and had already been playing around with it. She now has to do her laundry again and decides to do her laundry on Thursday.
- Thursday comes and the sun is shining as Olivia loads her laundry machine with this week’s batch of dirty laundry, hoping that this time there will be enough solar power to last the entire wash. Surely enough, there is.
