- Hi I'm Dorothea Dix I am a teacher and one of the main reasons why the prisons and people with mental illness are better treated today than the 1800's
- These conditions are terrible for the people these people should be treated nicer and not by being so crowded and debtors cant make money if there in prison
- People who are in prisons for mental illness petty crimes and people who are in debt and need to pay it back should be treated better people with mental illness should be put into hospitals that are made for the mental ill and people in debt shouldn't get thrown into jail because then they will not be able to pay them back.

- NOOOO They shouldn't

- It has come to my attention in the house that people in prisons are not being treated fairly punished unlawfully and put into prison for reasons that shouldn't be in prisons so by today the state of Massachusetts will get better at treating the people in prisons and make some changes to the prisons laws.
- Finally, now I will go t every state before I die to try and to help the mentally ill and people who are in prison
