Storyboard Tekst

  • Idea development is simply about implementing different ways of exploring ideas and composing solutions that best solve the problem in the most effective manner.
  • Good day, students! For today, we'll look at the pattern of idea development. We all want to be able to convey our feelings, opinions, or sides of an argument correctly. So let me explain the importance of employing appropriate grammatical signals. First, do any of you have any prior knowledge of today's topic?.
  • Very well said! Following that, we will go over the five patterns of idea development. which range from the general to the specific, cause and effect, claim and counterclaim, problem-solving, and persuasion
  • That's a great question. Well, patterns of development help us sort out information and shape paragraphs or essays. They can help organize an outline, or depending on the purpose they can determine the form that a paper will take.
  • But what are these ma'am?  What are there purposes?
  • First, general to particular discusses the general topic by presenting specific details that support the topic. Second, Cause and effect explains the causes or the effects of something. Third, Claim and counterclaim refers to the structure of presenting a side of anissue in an argumentative manner. Fourth, Problem-solution is used when a writer identifies a problemand addresses it by presenting one or more solutions.
  • So basically, the main purpose of idea development is generating new ideas is about improving what already exists as well as coming up with something new?
  • And lastly, Persuasion intends to convince the readers to do or believe in something. And that's the 5 pattern of idea development.
  • That's right! I hope you understand our lesson for today, class. Keep in mind that these are important to make  our vocabulary and our writing better.
