Freud developed the theory of the Id, Ego, and Superego. The creature on the left represents the id which is impulsive and irrational. The unicorn on the right represents the superego which is the moral principle and the conscience. When deciding whether to believe in Santa the ego in the middle takes input from the id and superego to make a decision.
How Rogers Sees Me
Alfred Adler promoted birth order theory and that the order a child was born into the family impacted their personality. As a middle child I would be described as social and a peacekeeper between my siblings. When my brother would bully my younger sister I was the one to solve the problem and help them stop fighting.
How Costa and McCrae See Me
Carl Jung believed in the theory of collective unconscious. Collective unconscious is a bank of symbols shared across all cultures. This would allow me to understand the same symbol, like a stop sign, as people all over the world.
How Bandura Sees Me
Carl Rodger believed that every person strived to be the best version of themselves and who they want to be. I don't know exactly who I want to be yet but I know I want to be a good person. My actions are motivated by my desire to become the best version of myself.
Paul Costa and Robert McCrae developed the five factor theory of personality. According to the theory the five primary traits in personality are open, conscientious, extrovert, agreeable, and neurotic. Of the five OCEAN traits I am more conscientious and neurotic. I worry about the small things like pieces of a circle not fitting together and I am organized and make lists for everything.
OK
Albert Bandura believed in the spotlight effect which is when you assume people are focused on you when they aren't. I experience this all the time when I wear something comfortable and feel like everyone is looking at me being I am wearing sweatpants. In reality no one really cares or notices that I am not dressed up.
