- We managed to get him out on bail and he has opted for you to represent him as you've had a prior legal relationship and feels more likely to be acquitted of these charges with you at the helm.
- Rocco, Robert Marley has been charged for suspectedly being a leader of a major marijuana drug ring. He is proclaiming he isn't guilty.
- Yes boss, two years ago Robert was charged with some minor possession and drug dealing charges. Fortunately for him, all charges were dropped as the police made several mistakes through acquiring the search warrant and therefore all evidence found was inadmissible.
- However, Ill set up a meeting tomorrow Jimmy and divulge through the facts.
- I really despise drug dealers. They take advantage of those who are severely addicted. and benefit from it.
- Mr. Marley, good too see you again.
- Mr. Ethical, great to see you again.
- I'm Hoping today, Mr. Marley, we could go through your case. First of all, I would like to know all the facts, as if I'm not mistaken you believe you are innocent?
- Yes, I am not guilty Rocco. My deranged second cousin Francis has set me up. I let Francis live with me for a while so he could get back on his feet. However, while I was out of town he stole my spare phone from my duchess and used it to conduct his secret drug business. I had no idea about it at all.
- When the police raided my house, they found this phone, a substantial amount of drugs, half a million dollars cash and a list of all the buyers in the town, hidden in my floor boards. Francis must have concealed them before moving out, thinking I would take the fall for his crimes as he must have believed the police were onto him.
- My prints were all over the phone so I was charged.
- Please Rocco, you've helped me before, can you do it again? I will be pleading not guilty.
- Mr Marley, the police believe you to be the ring leader but if we can prove that you were framed i.e. . Francis stole your phone and the items and cash found in your floorboards belonged to Francis, the court may be persuaded to dismiss these charges.
- Ill prepare a brief for a barrister and I will let you know the outcome. Take care Mr. Marley.
- Thank you so much Rocco! I knew i could count on you!
- Later that day....
- G'day Billy how have you been?
- Hi Rocco, fancy seeing you here!
- Yeah I think so, but yeah it has been quite busy as of late but very rewarding when we get those cases over the line.
- I've been well thank-you. The new firm I work for is brilliant! How is Goods & Sons treating you? What's it been.. two years since I left?
- Yeah it is.
- That's good to hear Rocco.
- I actually have this case at the moment, which may involve someone being framed do you remember Robert Marley?
- Hmm.. If my memory serves me correct I believe you were taking on Mr. Marley after I had left the firm
- Yeah he is but told me that it was actually his second cousin Francis who orchestrated the drug ring and I think he may have framed Mr. Marley. But, its hard to tell if Mr Marley is not lying due to his history.
- Isn't he up on charges for suspectedly being a ring leader of a drug syndicate?
- Oh ok no worries Billy, good to see you again!
- Well anyway Rocco I'm late for a meeting. All the best
- Gee that's unlucky if that's the case.
