- Charlie was getting mad at the people laughing at the boy who was mentally disabled. He felt angry because he was indirectly laughing at himself. He felt like he was laughing at himself before he became smarter.So the people was making fun of the boy and Charlie was making fun of himself
- Person vs. Society
- It ain't right what their doing to you Charlie.
- Frank and joe were taking advantage of him when he was drunk. While they were in the process of making fun of him they beat him up.
- Person vs. Technology
- CHarlie forgot that he no longer went to adult night school and ended up making miss kinnian cry because she felt sad and sorry for him.
- Person vs. Nature
- Everyone began to get scared of charlie as he got smarter and they decided that they wanted him to get firedFanny felt sorry for him and didn't sign the petition
- Charlie was in his process of regressing and was forget how to read some big words he could not long after the surgery as an after affect of the surgery.
- Algernon was regressing and he was in the process of dying and was scared and confused and didn't understand what was happening and bit Charlie as self defense.
