In chapter 8, Junior punches a bully named Roger because he said something very racist. Junior punches Rodger because that's what you were supposed to do at the reservation. Rodger is very shocked and leaves Junior alone without retaliation.
Chapter 11 "Halloween"
In chapter 9, Junior goes home and asks his grandmother why didn't Rodger beat him up. Junior's grandmother suggests that maybe Rodger respects Junior now.
Chapter 12 "Slouching Towards Thanksgiving"
In chapter 10, Junior reminisces about a time when he liked a girl named Dawn She always made fun of him. One time Junior had a sleepover with Rowdy and he told Rowdy he loved Dawn. Rowdy told Junior Dawn doesn't care about you and Junior cried.
Chapter 13 "My Sister Sends Me an E-mail"
In chapter 11, Junior shows up to school in his Halloween costume. He is dressed as a homeless man. Junior finds that Penelope is dressed as a homeless woman as a type of protest. Penelope tells Junior that instead of asking for candy, she is going to ask for spare change. Junior tells Penelope that he is doing the same thing and asks to combine the money they make together to give it away.
In chapter 12, Junior befriends Gordy. Junior likes Gordy because he is weird like him. They study and read together. Gordy and Junior bond over books.
In chapter 13, Junior's sister send Junior an e-mail telling how her life was in Montana.
