- The Byzantine Emperor, Alexius Comnenus, asks for help from Pope Urban II of Germany early in 1095.
- The Byzantine Empire is in great danger. I should seek help from western Christian kingdoms.
- Take back the Holy Land from the Muslims! Deus Volt!
- Pope Urban II accepted and gave a powerful speech to the Christians in Rome.
