Birthday Gift

Avery woke up early and prepared herself for school. She cannot hide her excitement. Today is a very special day for her. Guess what? It's her birthday!
She excitedly went downstairs to eat the breakfast that her mother prepared for her. Her mother told her that they will come home late today because there is still paperwork that needs to be done in their workplace. Avery felt sad after hearing about this.
After eating her breakfast, Avery went to school. At the entrance of the school, Avery saw her friends and they greeted her. She was surprised and thank them for remembering her birthday. At the same time, Avery felt sad as her mom and dad didn't greet her this morning, she thought that her parents forgot her birthday because they are busy at work.
Avery and her friends started making their way to the classrooms. Avery still can't forget that her parents didn't greet her. She realized that it is alright, her friends are still here to make her day special.
When school ended, Avery bid goodbye to her friends and went straight home. Little did she know there is something waiting for her.
As she opened the door, she was surprised at what she had just seen. Her parents, friends, as well as their relatives, are there. She also saw a birthday cake. She didn't expect this to happen. She thanked all of them especially her parents for being with her to celebrate her special day. This is the best birthday gift she had received.
