IDEALOGICAL CONFLICT (CAPITALISM VS COMMUNISM)The USSR was a communist nation based on principles of socialism and collectivism. But the USA was a modern liberal nation based on principles of individualism.
This ideological conflict continued the Cold War. The USSR tried to promote communism to countries around it and the US worked to contain it.
