- Industrial workers were unskilled workers who had to use direct action, like strikes, to give power back to them from the corporations
- I agree. We should do something about it
- because of the worker strikers, workers shorter work days and an increase in wages

- As understood by its name, the progressivism era had a lot of major changes to what and how the government controls business. A huge problem in America was the amount of control corporations had over the entire country. Both Roosevelt and Wilson's idea for how the country should be ran was different but similar in the idea that neither of them believed that big corporations needed all the power. Roosevelt more lenient than Wilson. Through both of their terms, multiple different government reforms happened to decrease the power of business and increase the legislation that the government has over everyone.

- women were prohibited from joining fields of law, medicine, and clergy work. Lillian Ward opened the Henry Wall Street settlements and recruited nurses to live there. By 1911, more than 400 college educated women resided in these settlements.
- Margaret Sanger led the birth control movement. This reform was to help constrict the size of the working class so hopefully the wages would raise. The movement also changed the way the public viewed social issues.
- many women, including Alice Paul, protested in front of the White House to be heard. These doing led to the 19th amendment which allows women to be able to vote
