Storyboard-Text

  • This is the ballerina from the show on the television that George and Hazel were watching. She has an ugly mask on to hide her face, headphones to make her not be able to think on one thing for too long and weights around her neck to stop her strength and gracefulness.
  • This is Harrison. He has the most handicaps. He has larger headphones that are even worse then everyone else, extra weights to hold back his strength, glasses that causes headaches and a red nose and caps on his teeth.
  • In this scene we see the difference between Hazel and George's handicaps. George had weights and headphones that cause him to not think of something for too long.
  • In the TV show George and Hazel were watching, there was an announcer/ reporter that has a handicap of a speech impediment. The ballerina had to help him and she has the same handicap as the other ballerinas.
  • In this scene, we know that Hazel does not have any handicaps because she has a perfectly average intelligence. She suggested George to relax and take some of the weight off even though he can not.
  • In the short story, Harrison Bergeron, the author touches on some themes of government control, the power of knowledge, and equality. Kurt Vonnegut, the author, was using these powerful ideas and dramatizes and exaggerates them to have the main ideas come across.
