- Why is it important?
- What is UDL & OER?OER stands for Open Educational Resources: that means their are resources with little or no cost that can be used for educational purposes.UDL is Universal Design Learning which is an approach with the primary goal being giving all children/students equal opportunities to succeed in education.

- I can implement UDL in my classroom by:
- Making/Creating a classroom that is accessible to all your students is crucial.A way to do this is by including UDL & OER within the classroom setting.This will ensure that all students feel equal,safe,and validated thus creating a classroom community.

- Some examples of UDL & OER in the classroom are:
- UDL is important because we have to be aware as educators that not all students learn in the same way.We have to challenge ourselves to offer them all the possibilities of learning through different approaches,methods,procedures in order for them to achieve their full potential.OER  is important because not every family/student has the same financial capabilities,opportunities,or resources available to them.We are offering equality & equity through this.

- How cn i implement OER in the classroom?
- Allowing multiple ways/version to complete an assignment.I can alter,adapt,or change my lesson plans depending on engagement,results,and comprehension of my students.I can dedicate more time in executing a unit or lesson.If needed i can give an extension to complete assignments ,or offer extra credit opportunities to my students.
- Some examples are using different types of aids to help specific/different type of learners(like special education students,dual language learners,or emergent bilingual students).Providing appropriate tools and the necessary technology in order for students to be able to succeed is beneficial.Providing free resources,like free websites/databases,accommodating to their needs,having/maintaining an open/creative mindset is powerful in the students growth mindset and how they view themselves.
- I can offer the updated technology to complete assignments.While offerring free tools like: Google sheets,docs,forms,and so on.I can grade assignments while giving students the opportunity to disscuss their grades being changed if they do not agree but, are willing to make the necessary changes.
