- Brown V. the board of education is about how kids are separated in schools based on race. This event led to the end of segregation in schools.

- Montgomery bus boycott was a boycott sparked by the Rosa parks arrest, African Americans would refuse to ride the bus in Montgomery. this led to end segregation on busses.

- the little rock nine was a group of 9 African Americans. the little rock nine were the first African Americans to enter the little rock school.
- Election of 1860November of 1860
- freedom riders was a group of African american civil rights activist that would ride into southern segregated sates. their main objective was to challenge segregation laws.
- The election of 1860 played a big part in the civil war when abraham Lincoln was elected president. This was a problem for the southerers and pro slavery because abraham lincoln was opposed the expansion of slavery which would soon lead to a war becuase the southerners economy would crash if they lost their slaves and slavery itself would be abolished.
