The Sugar Act increases taxes on molasses and other goods being imported to Britain, which made the colonists a little frustrated.
1766 Repeal of the Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was an act that imposed taxes on the colonists by requiring public documents to have stamps, which included 55 documents that were subject to the act. The colonists' unrest grew as they felt this act infringed on their rights.
Tea Act of 1773
The Quartering Act was an act that required colonists to provide housing, food and drink to British soldiers who were stationed in their town whenever it was required of them.
