In Indigo's early life he was a Page. This was because in order to fulfil his dreams of becoming a soldier, he would first have to learn from another knight. The knight would then teach him how to fight, ride a horse and many more things. And in return Indigo as a Page boy would have to clean the stables, shine the knights armour and do many more things. He was a page for the service of a relative, Juan Velázquez de Cuéllar, treasurer of the kingdom of Castile.
When Indigo was fighting in the battle in Pamplona, he got hit by a cannonball on his leg. His right leg got badly injured, he had to have a splint on it. When recovering he was hoping for books about war and popularity, though he ended up getting the book's, the life of christ and the book of saints. Once read, he became to view the world differently and he was now focused about god and intrigued about the different stories and wanted to learn more.
Ignatius founded the Society of Jesus with 6 other of his companions with approval of Pope Paul the 3rd. The main goal of the society of Jesus was to educate people about the catholic church and also to spread awareness about it. The pope was sceptical about it and said no the first time when they asked him. Because he was worried about his men (the society of Jesus) because of their health and safety. But Saint Ignatius kept pushing it until finally it was approved.
