- I will schedule a meeting with your superiors and ensure that these conditions are fixed.
- You have come to the right place, looks like your superiors have forgotten about section in BCEA and LRA.
- I am working at Shoprite and I do not get paid for overtime and most of the employee also have complaints. This is affecting me I cannot afford anything besides transport and basics
- Everyone we are aware of your grievances and promise that the HR Department will ensure that your voices are heard. We`ve received the memorandum of demands too

- Why is Mr.Bheki not here? why is he sending you guys? we demand answers from him not you.
- James Priya are scared the matter might escalate and the media would be onto Shoprite. They are both aware of the fact that the employee's conditions in the BCEA are violated and they deserve to be treated fail and have their grievances attended to.
- Negotiations
- I am sure that you are aware of the complaints memorandum, I am here to negotiate on behalf of the employees you are exploiting!
- I do not like your tone! and I stand by what I have said, I had no idea that the employees are not happy
- Susan personally went to a trade union representative as she thought that could help her build a solid case, the representative asked her to list the grievances she knows of in the working environment and assured her justice as he could see negligence from the other party. The representative started doing his own research and concluded that Shoprite is exploiting its employees.
- Feedback
- I have met with Mr.Bheki and it looks like he will look into the matter as he is now scared that you have involved us.
- James and Priya organized a meeting with the staff to ensure them that the complaints in the memorandum will be dealt with, but the employees demand answers straight from Mr Bheki as the superiors they feel like he is the cause of the grievances.
- Office
- I do not understand why all my Departments would be shaken by a few bakers and casual employees!
- Mr.Francis from SA National Defence Union paid Mr.Bheki a visit and clearly expressed that the Union will not be lenient on the exploitation of workers and will bargain that Shoprite meets the employees halfway with their demands. He demanded to see the contracts that they have with the employees.
- Susan was excited and happy by the feedback from Mr.Francis as he explained to her that they will be reviewing their contracts and bargaining with the Shoprite management on the conditions stipulated in the contracts and if that fails they can unionise and strike.
- Really? I know it is still early days but I have a positive feeling that my struggles will soon be over
- Mr Bheki was startled by the arbitrating of the Union representative, as he felt like his hand is forced to look into the matter and he saw nothing wrong with the employment conditions. He looked down on his employees as people who are not of his standard.
- Now I have to neglect my duties and focus on low-class employees that want to micromanage me!
