- why is Mom yelling at me and then a second later forgetting she yelled. She is usually so loving and kind.
- a few hours after my call with Mom my sister stopped by to tell me that she called Mom and something seemed strange. We think Mom is sick.
- Me and my sister flew up to Mom. Mom's arms were so inflamed with rashes and she was forgetting so many things. We brought her to a doctor. The doctor informed us that Mom has a fast encroaching form of skin cancer which is causing severe dementia.
- Two years pass. Mom has been fighting her cancer. She has had surgerys, gone through chemotherapy, and been in treatment trials. But her prognosis and dementia has gotten worse. She is in too much pain to get up from her couch. My sister and I come up as much as we can to help her but we can not stay long because we have to go back to the city for work. I am going home in a few days.
- It's been a week since I left Mom's house. Today when I called her she told me she had decided to end her life. She had not told us her plan. When I called, she had just taken a lethal medicine. I can not stop her, it is already in her system. She says she wants this. She calls it a dignified death because she wants to die knowing who her loved ones are, and she does not want to continue with this pain.
- I love you and I will miss you
- I love you and remember you have given me so much joy. I need to go.. please don't tell your sister until I am gone. I can not... I want to go happy.. not sad... I don't want to be a disappointment.. um.... I love you. I love you my sweetness
- Do I respect Mom's last wish and help keep her dignity or do I call my sister and tell her what Mom is doing so my sister can say goodbye...?? What do I do?I love you mom...
