- I think an invasive species is when an animal is harmful and takes over an environment

- Now that our teacher gave us the formal definitions, we are going to google an invasive species in our area.
- our species is a nutria. They are bigger than beavers and destroy farmland
- They are originally frim South America but they were brought to the US for their fur
- They produce quickly. Females can have 3 litters a year.
- please fill out your charts while we tell you about our invasive species.
- I think a native species is a species that is originally from an environment
- I think a non-native species is a species that was introduced to a new environment
- I think out competes means one species is stronger than another.
- Then we will make a brochure on the information we found
